The dormitory where Song Zhenyu was staying was close to Ye Qiu’s residence. Before long, Song Zhenyu and Ye Qiu arrived at the foot of a girls’ dormitory building.

“There’s quite a strong feminine vibe here…” Ye Qiu mused as he glanced up, noticing the colorful clothes hanging on the balconies of each floor.

“Mr. Ye, please wait here for a moment,” Song Zhenyu said, pausing briefly.

“Alright, I’ll just wait here,” Ye Qiu replied, feeling a slight regret. He had originally hoped to follow Song Zhenyu inside to get a better look at the dormitory, but since she requested it, he had to respect her wishes and stay outside.

After Ye Qiu’s response, Song Zhenyu nodded and headed towards the entrance of the dormitory building.

Just then, a familiar figure emerged from the building.

It was Qin Yunhan, one of Song Zhenyu’s former students.

“Teacher Song?” Qin Yunhan exclaimed in surprise upon seeing Song Zhenyu.

Although Song Zhenyu wasn’t the head teacher of Qin Yunhan’s class, she did teach English, so they naturally recognized each other.

“Hello, Qin Yunhan. You’re attending Qingling University too?” Song Zhenyu responded, equally surprised.

She had been the head teacher of Wang Haoran’s class and knew that Wang Haoran, Xu Muyan, and Wen Jing had all chosen Qingling University. However, she hadn’t expected Qin Yunhan to be there as well.

“So, Teacher Song, why are you here?” Qin Yunhan asked with curiosity.

“I’ve stopped teaching at Shuizhe and am preparing to pursue a master’s degree at Qingling University,” Song Zhenyu explained with a laugh. “So, you don’t need to call me ‘Teacher Song’ anymore. Technically, we’re classmates now.”

“Uh, hello, Senior!” Qin Yunhan was momentarily stunned, then extended her hand earnestly.

“Hello, Junior.” Song Zhenyu also extended her hand seriously.

The two shook hands and couldn’t help but chuckle.

“The girls at this university are really beautiful!” Ye Qiu, standing nearby, noticed Qin Yunhan conversing with Song Zhenyu and was struck by how attractive they both were, almost unable to take his eyes off them.

“Don’t block the way, move aside!” A boy suddenly shouted, snapping Ye Qiu out of his daze.

The path was wide enough, but the boy insisted on walking straight, shoving Ye Qiu aside.

This interruption pulled Ye Qiu back to attention, and he noticed the boy walking towards Song Zhenyu.

The boy was Lu Ming.

“Wow, what a coincidence to meet you here again, beauty,” Lu Ming said to Song Zhenyu with a cheeky grin, also eyeing the stunning Qin Yunhan.

However, Lu Ming didn’t dare have any designs on Qin Yunhan; he merely glanced at her briefly due to his admiration for her. His boss had already laid claim to the three beauties among the freshmen, and Lu Ming knew better than to entertain any thoughts about them. So, he quickly refocused on Song Zhenyu.

Before he could say more, he suddenly felt someone grab the back of his neck.

Lu Ming looked to the side and saw it was the same guy he had just shoved away. He immediately shouted in anger, “Are you looking for trouble? Do you know who my boss is?”

Ye Qiu sneered, “I don’t care who your boss is. I only know that this beautiful lady is my tenant. If you know what’s good for you, stay away from these ladies and don’t harass them, or I’ll make you pay.”

As he spoke, he applied more pressure, causing Lu Ming to cry out in pain.

Despite the pain, Lu Ming retorted, “You’re done for. Just wait until I call someone to beat you up so badly that your parents won’t recognize you!”

Hearing this threat, Ye Qiu frowned. If he hadn’t decided to change his ways, he might have broken the guy’s neck right there. But he had resolved to live a peaceful life, so he refrained.

After careful thought, Ye Qiu released Lu Ming’s neck and instead twisted his arm.

“Ah, my arm… it’s breaking…!” Lu Ming screamed in agony.

“Will you do as I say or not?” Ye Qiu pressed on.

“You little punk, just you wait. When my people arrive, you’ll regret this!”

Lu Ming, despite his arm being twisted, continued to hurl threats, judging Ye Qiu by his shabby appearance and not taking him seriously at all.

“I’ll ask one more time, will you comply or not?” Ye Qiu’s patience was wearing thin, and his voice had grown cold.

“Comply? You… ahhh…”

Just as Lu Ming attempted to curse again, Ye Qiu twisted his arm further, breaking it.

Lu Ming writhed on the ground, screaming in pain.

Witnessing this, Song Zhenyu grew anxious. She hadn’t wanted Lu Ming to pester her, but now Ye Qiu had broken his arm, potentially escalating the matter into something much more problematic.

Song Zhenyu was focused on her graduate studies and didn’t want to be embroiled in any trouble.

Ye Qiu, noticing her worried and fearful expression, tried to reassure her gently, “Don’t worry, nothing will happen.”

Hearing this, Song Zhenyu felt somewhat reassured.

Ye Qiu was pleased that his protective gestures seemed to have improved Song Zhenyu’s impression of him. He then glanced at Qin Yunhan to see if his actions had impressed her as well.

However, Qin Yunhan only looked at him with disdain.

Ye Qiu was taken aback and felt a pang of disappointment.

“Old Three?!”

At that moment, a group of seven or eight people approached, led by Liu Hua, who exclaimed in surprise upon seeing Lu Ming’s pitiful state on the ground.

Despite his pain, Lu Ming was thrilled to see familiar faces.

“You’re done for, you’re done for. My boss is here with backup. If you dare, don’t run away!” Lu Ming gloated to Ye Qiu, confident in his imminent revenge.

Ye Qiu snorted derisively, showing no intention of fleeing, and watched the approaching group.

He scanned them and his gaze fastened on a particularly striking figure.

As he looked at this figure, Ye Qiu felt an inexplicable wave of revulsion.

“If you want to stand up for him, go ahead,” Ye Qiu said disdainfully, directing his words at Wang Haoran as the group arrived.

Ye Qiu’s demeanor clearly indicated he was ready for a fight.

Liu Hua, Wei Zhihang, and the others glared at Ye Qiu, waiting for Wang Haoran’s signal to leap into action.

But Wang Haoran didn’t order them to attack. He merely glanced at Ye Qiu and said to Liu Hua and the others, “Call the police.”

“What?”

Liu Hua, Wei Zhihang, and the others were all taken aback.
