Chapter 2: The School Belle Protagonist
The sudden commotion left Wang Haoran momentarily stunned.
This was the first time he received such information after acquiring the Super Villain System. Moreover, a panel appeared in his mind.
Upon opening the panel, he saw:
[Host: Wang Haoran]
[Combat Power: 89]
[Charm Value: 198]
(The average value for a normal adult male is 100 for both attributes.)
[Villain Aura: 99]
[Villain Points: 100]
[Skills: None]
This panel clearly displayed Wang Haoran’s various data attributes.
Wang Haoran came from a privileged background, always chauffeured to and from school, with little to no exercise, so it was normal for his combat power to be below average.
His charm value, however, was nearly double the average.
This was undoubtedly true.
He was handsome, excelled in academics, and came from a good family.
In school, he was recognized as a campus heartthrob, with countless girls secretly admiring him.
“System, what does the Villain Aura mean? Is 99 a lot or a little?” Wang Haoran communicated with the system through his thoughts.
[Replying to the host, the Villain Aura is unique to you, similar to the protagonist’s aura. The protagonist’s aura is never below 300, so your 99 points are relatively low, which might lead to an early demise.]
“Damn!” Wang Haoran cursed inwardly and then asked:
“Is there a way to increase the Villain Aura points?”
[The host can increase Villain Aura points through various means such as suppressing the protagonist, seizing the protagonist’s opportunities, and capturing the heroine’s heart and body.]
Capture the heroine?
I like that!
Wang Haoran was delighted and pursued further:
“So if my Villain Aura points are equal to or greater than the protagonist’s, does that mean I won’t face an untimely demise?”
[Your understanding is not entirely correct. When your points are equal to the protagonist’s, you will be the ultimate villain boss, able to survive until the finale. Only when your points exceed the protagonist’s will you avoid demise, but that only means you won’t die.]
“In other words, the outcome is still tragic, just not fatal.” Wang Haoran felt a bit troubled, then steeled himself and asked:
“Can I kill the protagonist?”
[Congratulations to the host for finally having the awareness of a villain. The more your points exceed the protagonist’s, the higher the chance of killing the protagonist.]
“It seems I’m destined to be at odds with the protagonist.” Wang Haoran fully realized.
“So what are Villain Points used for?”
[Villain Points can be used in the Super Villain Mall for lotteries and item exchanges to help the host combat the protagonist. They can also be used to check the attributes and information of the protagonist, heroine, and important supporting characters.]
“The mall? Where is the mall? Open the mall for me.” Wang Haoran urged.
[The Super Villain Mall is currently inactive. It will automatically open when the host’s Villain Points reach 500.]
“How do I earn Villain Points then?”
[By altering the original plot direction, successfully suppressing the protagonist, and any actions beneficial to the host, you may earn Villain Points.]
After the system answered this question, Wang Haoran had a general understanding and began contemplating strategies to deal with the protagonist.
“Call those two guys to the school,” Wang Haoran instructed Fan Jian.
“Ah…” Fan Jian was full of surprise.
“Ah, what? Just do as I say and don’t ask questions.” Wang Haoran cut him off, preventing a barrage of pointless questions from his subordinate.
“Yes, yes.” Fan Jian took out his phone and complied immediately.
After hanging up, Fan Jian reported that Fan Tong and Qin Shousheng were already on their way to the school.
Wang Haoran nodded.
The two walked through the campus towards the classroom.
“Hey, isn’t that the sister-in-law? Good morning!”
Fan Jian shouted loudly towards a nearby direction.
Wang Haoran followed his gaze and saw a girl.
She was tall with long, shiny black hair.
Her skin was snow-white, and her delicate features were almost perfectly proportioned on her small oval face.
Even in a simple school uniform, her youthful and vibrant aura was undeniable.
Such a girl would stand out even in a crowd.
Her name was Xu Muyan.
She was the class monitor in Wang Haoran’s class and was recognized as the school belle.
Of course, she was also the heroine, or more accurately, one of the heroines.
Because in urban novels, how could the protagonist have only one school belle heroine?
Xu Muyan was smart and beautiful, seemingly a perfect match for Wang Haoran.
In the entire school, no boy was as outstanding as Wang Haoran.
In reality, Xu Muyan would naturally like him.
But the silly author of this novel forcibly set the plot so that Xu Muyan had no feelings for Wang Haoran, and even found him somewhat annoying.
However, Wang Haoran was deeply infatuated with Xu Muyan, acting like a devoted admirer.
Why say that?
Because with Wang Haoran’s excellent conditions, he could easily attract many beautiful girls.
Yet, Wang Haoran was only infatuated with Xu Muyan, dismissing other women.
As the novel progressed, Xu Muyan fell completely for the protagonist, becoming utterly devoted to him.
Then, at the protagonist’s instigation, Xu Muyan even used Wang Haoran’s love to help the protagonist harm Wang Haoran to death.
And when Wang Haoran was dying, because of his deep love for Xu Muyan, he didn’t even blame her!
The original Wang Haoran in the plot was truly tragic.
“Screw the silly author, I refuse to let such a tragic ending happen to me!” Wang Haoran cursed inwardly and began organizing his thoughts.
It was still early in the plot, and Xu Muyan only regarded the protagonist as an ordinary classmate.
She only felt slightly annoyed and resistant towards him.
Sure enough.
Xu Muyan was both annoyed and embarrassed when she heard Fan Jian calling her “sister-in-law,” her snow-white face turning a few shades redder.
Some passing students, hearing the commotion, curiously turned their gaze towards them.
A few students in small groups whispered among themselves, discussing something unknown about her.
Xu Muyan knew that Wang Haoran’s subordinates often called her “sister-in-law” in class.
It annoyed her to no end.
Now they were shouting it in the campus, right in front of her.
People in the class knew she and Wang Haoran weren’t in that kind of relationship, so the “sister-in-law” title was understood as a joke.
But students from other classes didn’t know the situation.
Who knew what they would say behind her back?
“Fan Jian, you… you shouldn’t talk nonsense. There’s nothing between Wang Haoran and me. Don’t call me sister-in-law.” Xu Muyan blushed, trying to correct the title.
“Isn’t it just a matter of time? Anyway, you’re definitely going to be with my boss, so just accept it.” Fan Jian laughed.
“What do you mean I’m with your boss? Stop talking nonsense, and don’t call me sister-in-law anymore.” Xu Muyan stomped her foot.
“Sister-in-law, sister-in-law, sister-in-law…”
Despite Xu Muyan’s protests, Fan Jian insisted on calling her that, getting more enthusiastic and louder, attracting more onlookers.
Xu Muyan was so angry that her ears turned red.
“Shut your mouth.”
Wang Haoran ordered.
Fan Jian instantly stopped talking.
Then, Wang Haoran walked closer to Xu Muyan, stopping a meter in front of her.
What does he want to do? Does he want to hug me in public? Or worse, try to kiss me?
Xu Muyan had a bad premonition and took a step back, wanting to escape.
But Fan Jian blocked her path.
However, Xu Muyan was determined to resist with all her might.
